In August 2021 ModalAI partnered with Qualcomm to launch the Qualcomm Flight RB5 5G Platform, the first purpose-built 5G and AI-enabled drone platform and reference design. Built on the Qualcomm QRB5165, it condensed autonomous AI and computer vision capability into a compact system for integrators. The platform has since reached end of life; the same QRB5165 processor powers VOXL 2 and the Starling 2 Max development drone today. The original platform page is here.
