Panel: Consumer vs Industrial Hardware - Leveraging the Community to Build Better Developer Products

The success of PX4 as an open-source ecosystem is rooted in the community and contributors from around the world. In the PX4 community, software developers, hardware product manufacturers, solution integrators, and component suppliers all work together as a large and distributed community. DevRel, or developer relations, is a process for nurturing mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and software developers (within the company and in open-source). In other words, it’s a collection of strategies and tactics that help companies to achieve their own product advocacy and have a balanced relationship with the larger community and ecosystem. In this panel, we have panelists from consumer hardware backgrounds moving towards industrial products and also industrial component veterans diving into the robotics vertical to have a discussion on adapting and adopting open platform practice and standards, and how they are using DevRel and community practices as a go-to-market strategy to achieve their product and business goals. We will also discuss perspectives of current challenges and how they are surfing and overcoming certain supply chain crisis as hardware companies.

Panel: Build a Connected Supercomputer in the Sky

How do you get the most utility out of your flying supercomputer? As the drone industry advances, we are witnessing a shift towards interoperability between open source applications and intelligent autopilot platforms amongst leading robotics innovators. Join ModalAI and Ascend Engineering for a riveting, open discussion on the latest autopilot technology and how to activate autonomy with open source applications.
